Xiaomi has once again become the top smartphone seller on Chinese Singles Day (11/11). In 24 hours the company moved products worth CNY 2.46 billion ($370 million). In fact, Xiaomi is on top for the fifth year in a row and beat its previous record to boot.
That record is from 2014 when the company sold CNY 1.56 billion worth of stuff. This year, that number was surpassed in less than 11 hours.
It’s not just phones though, the company’s diversified ecosystem includes TVs and Internet of Things gadgets that were hot sellers as well.
Lei Jun shared a celebratory post about IDC’s report that names Xiaomi as the top smartphone brand in India for the third quarter of this year with a market share of 23.5%. About a year ago, Xiaomi was second with just 10.7% share.
